Students will identify relationships in fractions, and explain how relationships change when the one changes.

Middle Grades Science

Students will use a collaborative approach to construct a two-dimensional model that represents planet order in the solar system, make a scale model that represents planet order, and use a reading passage to collect information.

Students will learn about food chains and webs by researching animals and where they get their energy, create a food chain or web using the selected animals, and identify the variety of ways transfers of food energy can occur from a source in plants through a series of animals.

Students will discover how to make a complete circuit that lights a bulb using only a D-cell, a bulb and a jumbo paper clip or wire and observe the transformation of chemical energy into light and/or heat energy.
