Students will measure the speed of a battery-powered vehicle to develop an understanding of speed.

Around and Across (6-9) | Source: Looking At Geometry
Students will generate a graph by using the diameters and circumferences of round objects, study the scatter plot to discover the proportional relationship, use numeric data from the graph to approximate the value of pi, and determine a formula for the circumference of a circle.

Jumping to Solutions (6-9) | Source: Solving Equations
Students will measure the position and number of jumps of a person, generate an equation that describes how the person got to the end position, and determine the length of the person’s jump from the equation.

Students will identify some of the features on the ocean floor and trace a profile of a section of the Atlantic Ocean floor.

Students will make a wet mount slide of onion cells and observe the cell walls.

Students will determine their power in watts to see if there is a correlation between the weight of the person and the power they produce.
