All activities and content downloaded or purchased from this website are copyrighted by the AIMS Education Foundation. All rights reserved.

No part of any AIMS books, magazines, activities, or content—digital or otherwise—may be reproduced or transmitted in any form or by any means—including photocopying, scanning, taping, or information storage/retrieval systems—except as noted below.

  • A person or school purchasing AIMS activities (in books, magazines, or in digital form) is hereby granted permission to make up to 200 copies of any portion of those activities, provided these copies will be used for educational purposes and only at one school site.

  • For a workshop or conference session, presenters may make one copy of any portion of a purchased activity for each participant, with a limit of five activities or up to one-third of a book, whichever is less.

  • All copies must bear the AIMS Education Foundation copyright information.

  • Modifications to AIMS pages (e.g., separating page elements for use on an interactive white board) are permitted only within the classroom or school for which they were purchased, or by presenters at conferences or workshops. Interactive white board files may not be uploaded to any third-party website or otherwise distributed. AIMS artwork and content may not be used on non-AIMS materials.

Standard duplication rights apply to activities received at workshops, free sample activities provided by AIMS, and activities received by conference participants.

Unlimited Duplication Rights
Unlimited duplication rights may be purchased in cases where AIMS users wish to:

  • make more than 200 copies of a book/magazine/activity,
  • use a book/magazine/activity at more than one school site, or
  • make an activity available on the Internet (see below).

These rights permit unlimited duplication of purchased books, magazines, and/or activities (including revisions) for use at a given school site.

Activities received at workshops are eligible for upgrade from standard to unlimited duplication rights.

Free sample activities and activities received as a conference participant are NOT eligible for upgrade from standard to unlimited duplication rights.

State-Specific Science modules are licensed to one classroom/one teacher and are therefore NOT eligible for upgrade from standard to unlimited duplication rights.

Upgrade Fees
The fees for upgrading from standard to unlimited duplication rights are as follows.
For individual activities, the cost is $5 per activity per school site.
For Literature Links bundles, the cost is $12 per bundle per school site.
For books, the cost is based on the price of the book (see table below).

Book Price Unlimited Duplication Rights Fee
$9.95 $15.00 per school site
$18.95 $24.00 per school site
$21.95 $27.00 per school site
$24.95 $30.00 per school site
$29.95 $35.00 per school site
$34.95 $40.00 per school site
$49.95 $55.00 per school site

The cost of upgrading is shown in the following examples:

For five activities at six schools: 5 activities x $5 x 6 schools = $150

For two books (at $21.95) at 10 schools: 2 books x $27 x 10 schools = $540

For three books (at $24.95) and four activities at eight schools:
(3 books x $30 x 8 schools) + (4 activities x $5 x 8 schools) = $720 + $160 = $880
