Puzzle: Uniquely Even
by Michelle Pauls

In this month's Puzzle Corner activity, students are challenged to find multiple solutions to a problem, organize those solutions in a logical manner, and justify why they think they have found all possible solutions. There are two versions of the same problem presented, with differing numbers of solutions.

The object of the puzzles is to arrange either 10 or 12 objects in the 4 x 4 grid in such a way that every row, column, and long diagonal has an even number of objects.

This month's puzzle is provided as PDF file.
