Solution: Sixteen Penny Puzzle
Last month’s Sixteen Penny Puzzle had students place 16 pennies in four-by-four square. They were then challenged to remove six pennies to leave an even number of pennies in each row and column. Three of the solutions appear below. For each solution shown, there are several rotations.
