Solution: Column Changing Challenge
The Puzzle Corner last month, Column Changing Challenge, asked students to move two coins in a square arrangement of pennies and nickels so that there would be columns of all pennies and all nickels. There are many possible solutions to this puzzle, but all involve looking at the arrangement of coins from another angle. One possible solution is shown below.
